A chemical peel is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin on the face, neck or hands. A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. The new skin is also temporarily more sensitive to the sun. There are three basic types of chemical peels:
A medical grade chemical solution that is applied topically to penetrate through surface layers of skin and flake away through an exfoliation process. There are different levels of chemical severity ranging from zero flaking. 1 week downtime
This peel is the lightest of the chemical peels. The enzymes are usually derived from botanicals and other all natural elements, This is ideal for patients with sensitive skin, acne prone, or who may just be looking for a little extra exfoliation to smooth out dry or rough textures. Downtime to expect: Very unlikely. If skin is very dry, you may experience very mild flaking.
A customized medical grade peel to treat specific problem areas including, hyperpigmentation (sun/brown spots), aging (fine lines and wrinkles), acne, cloudy and dull skin, and dryness. Downtime to expect: Flaking is likely to happen 3 days post treatment and last approx. 4-6 days. $65-$85 (add on to a service: $30)
Our finest medical grade peel to truly transform your skin. This peel reaches the deeper layers of your skin, correcting and brightening as your skin returns to a fresh and soft facial canvas. If you need a “go big or go home” improvement, look no further! Downtime to expect: Flaking will likely occur 2-3 days post treatment and can last as long as 2 weeks.
